As our campers and students all across the city head back to school this week, we reminisce about some of the fun we had at Camp History this summer and begin looking forward to our upcoming February and March 2016 sessions of Camp History!
This August, Camp History was all about the turn of the 20th century and campers met with librarians, conservators, historians, curators, and more to ask their burning questions and discover what life was like in New York City more than a hundred years ago. After some sly sleuthing and investigative journalism, our campers put together an issue of their own newspaper fittingly titled Turn of the Twentieth Times to showcase all of their hard work. Check it out below!
Even though a lot of hard work went into crafting this newspaper, Camp History wasn’t all work and no play. Take a look at some of the fun we had together caught on film!
