This April School Vacation Week, families that stopped by the New-York Historical Society to explore the exhibition The Art and Whimsy of Mo Willems were treated to a few Mo Willems-inspired surprises! They created their very own wire sculpture characters, helped Knuffle Bunny take a trip back in time with collages using historic photos of New York City, got a tattoo of the Pigeon as the Statue of Liberty, and even met Elephant Gerald and Piggie! Check out some photos we took below.
If you weren’t able to join us this past week, not to worry! Elephant Gerald and Piggie will be back at the New-York Historical Society along with more Mo Willems-inspired crafts during our Mo Willems Family Weekend, June 4-5.
