It’s been a Hamilton-filled summer at the New-York Historical Society and our August Camp History was right on theme! This summer, Camp History was all about Alexander Hamilton, the world he lived in, and the fledgling nation he helped shape. During two separate week-long camps, rising sixth, seventh, and eighth grade campers were invited behind the scenes to speak with conservators, get up close to centuries-old documents, get some hands-on experience in a real conservation lab, and create their very own one-of-a-kind creative writing pieces. Check out some photos of Camp History fun below!
If you’re an Alexander Hamilton fan, don’t miss the chance to meet him (and General George Washington) during The Battle of Brooklyn Family Day on Saturday, September 24!
