This past weekend was Historical Train Weekend at the New-York Historical Society, and we were all about trains, trains, and more trains! Families went on scavenger hunts in our exhibition, Holiday Express, made their very own train engines to take home, and even met Conductor Abe who told some tall train tales!
If you weren’t able to make it this past weekend, but join us during December School Vacation Week! From December 26–January 2, we’ll have Train Tales and Crafts every day at 2 pm. Stop by to hear a classic train story read aloud, and stick around after story time to make a train craft inspired by the book of the day!
Check out the photos below to see some of the fun times had at our Historical Train Weekend.
