Chugga chugga CHOO CHOO! The New-York Historical Society’s December School Vacation Week from December 26 – January 2 is all about trains. Friends big and small have been stopping by to check out Holiday Express: Toys and Trains from the Jerni Collection to journey on a special train scavenger hunt and join us for Train Tales and Crafts.
At Train Tales and Crafts, we read tall tales of trains traveling west, getting competitive with sharks, hauling toy freight, and even being trained as a pet. After each story time, families work together to create train-inspired crafts. Check out some of the photos below.
If you haven’t stopped by yet, it’s not too late! Train Tales and Crafts, along with our December Vacation Week, continue through January 2.
Your family can also visit during our early hours program Rise and Ride the Holiday Express every Friday through February 25 and Stroller Tours Through History the second Friday of each month. See you then!
