It’s April School Vacation Week, and we’re celebrating Earth Day all week long in honor of our environmentally-focused exhibition Hudson Rising.
Did you know that the Hudson River is home to hundreds of species of fish, birds, and plants? Or that it inspired an American art movement in the mid-19th century called the Hudson River School? Stop by the exhibition and pick up a free family guide to help lead you through the fascinating history of this body of water. Along the way, you’ll learn all about how the river has been threatened and, later, protected by human actions.
After checking out the exhibition, join us for a drop-in art activity! Families are invited to create their own Hudson River School-inspired work of art using recycled materials.
