How do you feed a fledgling? Well, at the May 12 Meet the Fledglings family program, you can come meet some actual baby birds and the folks who care for them! The Wild Bird Fund will bring rescued fledglings to the Museum so families can feed and touch these young birds. Families will also learn about the more than 350 bird species that live in or migrate through New York City, how the Wild Bird Fund cares for its charges, and how you can protect bird life here, too! Purchase your tickets for this event here while they last.
See below for some snapshots from previous years of fledglings fun!
Baby pigeons always make an appearance at this event!
Each year the Wild Bird Fund brings whatever birds they have who are healthy enough to make the trip to the Museum. One year some baby ducks came!
Yes, it really is this fun to feed a fledgling!
See you Sunday!
